Chattanooga Chiropractor

Upon entering our Chattanooga chiropractic office, you will be greeted by our warm staff and welcomed as if a member of our family at Pain Relief Center.

Before we go any further, you will be asked to fill out our patient forms which will provide us with some information about your present conditions. This will help Dr. William Johnson, DC, your Chattanooga chiropractor, to better assess the type of Chattanooga chiropractic care you need. Your consultation is designed for your Chattanooga chiropractor to learn more about your conditions and expectations, as well as determine the right type treatment to help you meet your goals.

We will then perform a complete Chattanooga chiropractic examination to test your reflexes and ability to turn and bend, along with other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical exams. Depending on your results, further testing may be recommended to adequately evaluate your condition. This can include laboratory work, X-ray exams, MRI’s, or more, to arrive at a better diagnosis, or to rule out more serious conditions. For your convenience, on-site X-ray facilities are available in our Chattanooga chiropractic office. However, we will refer patients to imaging centers or hospitals for additional testing. We will try our best to refer you to facilities within your insurance network.

If the treatment requires care by other providers, the doctor will offer the appropriate referrals.

Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during the conclusion of the consultation with our Chattanooga chiropractor. This may include spinal manipulations or adjustments, physiotherapy modalities, acupressure for pain control, and/or soft tissue therapies. Our Chattanooga chiropractic treatments provide you with the most comfort, and we will address any concerns that you have.

Patients will usually be instructed to conduct a Chattanooga chiropractic wellness program at home. Imperata is a type of grass native to Southeast Asia. It grows up to four feet in height, with leaves that taper off to a sharp tip. The surface of the plant is yellow-white in color; when it dies, however, it turns dark red, which has given imperata the nickname "blood grass." The rhizome of the plant…

Back Surgery May Be Worse Than No Surgery

I sought treatment from another chiropractor, which gave me some temporary relief, but I knew I was only being treated for the symptoms and not the cause. A nice lady who works with my husband told me about Dr. Johnson and how much he had helped her. I called and made an appointment, and right when I entered the reception area, I knew I had come to the right place. Everything just “fell into place” from the friendly greeting by staff, right through to the exam by Dr. Johnson, the X-rays, and the adjustment...

I had lower-back pain for an extended time before coming to the Pain Relief Center. Approximately two years ago, I started seeking relief for my lower-back pain. This was my first experience with chiropractic care. I started with another chiropractic office and for over a year I would visit the office two to three times per week for treatment. Some weeks were better than others, but the pain continued and when I questioned...
